We sympathise with you in the current difficult climate, and as a considerate landlord, we aim to consider every Rent Deferment or rent discount application on an individual basis.

However, we strongly encourage you to urgently apply for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and/or Universal Credit where applicable and eligible. Please do inform us as soon as you might think you will be in financial difficulty,as it may mean you might not be able to pay the rent on time which may incur on further penalties.

Tenants affected by COVID-19 Coronavirus who are concerned about paying their rent can claim Universal Credit from the Department of Work and Pensions ( DWP) which includes support for housing costs, if eligible. The UK Goverment has introduced some temporary changes to make this process easier.

For more information on how to apply for Universal Credit, please go to:
www.gov.uk/universal-credit

If a tenant is currently getting Housing Benefit and/or Univeral Credit, but still can't afford their housing costs they may be eligible to a Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP).

For more information on how to apply for DHP, please go to:

Tenants may be able to get support through the Scottish Welfare Fund.
